Biography
James Carrington leads ABL Finance’s Project and Structured Finance practice. Across an 18+ year career, James has advised on infrastructure, energy and natural-resources transactions in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Latin America, with a focus on non-recourse and limited-recourse financing structures.
His expertise spans full project lifecycle advisory — from financial modelling and risk allocation through to debt arrangement, ECA-backed financing and ongoing post-completion advisory. James is particularly recognised for his work on renewable energy financings and on transactions combining commercial bank debt with multilateral and ECA support.
James contributes to ABL Finance Insights on project finance structures, risk allocation frameworks and the role of bank instruments in capital-intensive projects.
